The course aims to tie together previous knowledge within the framework of a large group project where a comprehensive software is to be developed. The course is designed to, as closely as possible, mimic a project that can normally be conducted in industry. Developing software places great demands on technical expertise. It is necessary to be a skilled programmer, to understand the design of larger software, and to have knowledge of third-party software and to integrate these with your own software. Software development involves applying systematic, disciplined and measurable methods for developing, using and maintaining software. In this course, the student practices methods that support this engineering approach.
