Nowadays, many software development products are created by engineers working across different companies and locations. This type of environment is very different from working in a single location with all team members present. As a modern software engineer, it's important to be familiar with the challenges and practices of working in distributed teams.
This course is designed to help you understand the unique aspects of global software projects, including outsourcing. You'll learn about communication, collaboration, and coordination in distributed teams, as well as the importance of embracing diversity, whether it's cultural or organisational, in your professional career.
We'll explore the latest knowledge in this field, including work-from-home after the COVID-19 pandemic. You will perform practical exercises and become familiar with real-life case studies to help you apply what you've learned. By the end of the course, you'll have a better understanding of how to work effectively in a distributed team and thrive in a global software development environment.
