Admission to the course requires a minimum of 90 higher education credits in Electrical Engineering, including at least 30 credits at the advanced level. The aim of the course is to enable students to practise their ability to define, plan, execute and report an independent research project. Students are expected to apply the knowledge acquired throughout the programme to independently investigate one or more specific areas within the main field of Electrical Engineering. The student is to present the results of their research in speech and writing and critically review a fellow student’s degree project. The presentation is to comply with the requirements and criteria that apply for academic texts.
