Staff page/researcher page

All employees at BTH - both in the educational area and the administration - have their own profile page. These are created automatically via the IDHA personnel system.

Different types of profile pages

All profile pages use the same template. Research pages contain more elements, such as expandable fields for publications and research projects.

If you have a research area registered in IDHA, you will automatically get a researcher page. If there is no research area, the page will appear as a regular profile page.

Update profile page or researcher page

  1. Log in to Sitevision here with your AD details: https://www.bth.se/edit
  2. Navigate to your profile page, for example by searching your name and in the search result, clicking on your name.

    Inside the editor, you can also navigate to the page via:

    Om BTH > Personer
    English > Staff landing page

    Or use the search function in the menu bar to the left.

Information that is retrieved automatically:

Some information is automatically retrieved from IDHA and updated nightly:

  • First Name
  • Last name
  • Acronym
  • Institution
  • Telephone number
  • Room
  • Workplace
  • Role
  • E-mail address

You should not edit this information manually. If the information in IDHA changes, the content of the page will be updated.

Profile picture

The profile picture is retrieved via MediaflowPro. The image must be there to be displayed on the page. You cannot upload the image yourself on the page!

  • Is the image missing? Send it to kommunikation@bth.se.
  • If the image is in Mediaflow: double-click on the image (or silhouette) on your profile page, go to the Foto > Porträtt > Profilsida folder and select your image. You can also use the search function to find your photo.

Content for researcher pages

Biography

Write your biography in a text field. Start with a short preamble. You can add more text fields if you want and also link to external websites.

Selected publications

If you are a main web editor, you can follow the instructions below. If you are not, please contact externwebb@bth.se if you want to add selected publications.

  1. On this page, scroll to the bottom of the content tree on the left
  2. Right-click on the module Selected publications (Swedish) or Selected publications (English) and select Copy.
  3. Go to your page, and in the navigation tree, right-click on Main content and paste.

The format for links:

  • Use "Sectioned" as the bulleted list type
  • Select all links and choose Bulleted > Sectioned in the toolbar

Latest publications

This module is automatically updated via DIVA, based on the acronym provided by IDHA.

Ongoing and completed projects

The information is automatically retrieved from the project portal.

For a project to be displayed:

  • You must be registered as a project leader or participant.

You cannot change this content manually. Want to highlight a specific project? Use text fields for your biography.

Links in the contact boxes

Add links to social networks, CV, press image and DiVA when you publish the page:

  1. Click on Publish
  2. Go to the Metadata tab
  3. Scroll down to and expand the Person heading
  4. Fill in links/upload files in the fields for:
    • Facebook
    • LinkedIn
    • ResearchGate
    • DiVA
    • ORCID
    • Google Scholar
    • X (Twitter)
    • Press image
    • CV
    • DiVA

(You can also change the profile page type from Staff to Researcher here.)

  1. Click on the field for the social network.
  2. In the dialog box, change the Link type to External page.
  3. Paste the URL in the Address field and click OK.

The links are displayed at the bottom right of the page, under the contact details.

Upload CV

  1. Click on the CV field
  2. Change Link type to File
  3. Select the Files folder on the page
  4. Click on Upload new file and select your CV


The CV link appears below your profile picture.

Upload press image

Follow the same steps as above, but select Link type: Image and the Images archive on the page. The link will appear below your profile picture.

DiVA

Enter the external link to your personal profile in DiVA. The link will appear under your profile picture.

Publish

Next, it's time to publish. To do this, click on the "Publish" button at the bottom.

If you can't click Publish, it may be due to broken links.

  1. Go to the General tab in the publishing dialog
  2. Check any error messages
  3. If you know the links work: confirm that you want to publish anyway and click Publish
