About the library

BTH's library is open to everyone - students, researchers, teachers, staff and the general public. Here you will find modern premises, digital resources and knowledgeable staff to help you succeed with your studies and projects.

The library website is your gateway to the digital library.

Lövsalen, an Active Learning Center

At the far end of the upper level of the library, you will find Lövsalen (H313), which is designed as an Active Learning Center, with round tables for group work, monitors and whiteboards. Lövsalen in the library is available for students when the room is not booked by staff.

We are happy to receive suggestions for the development of the library's premises and study environment.

  • Put your cell phone on silent or low sound.
  • Smoking is not allowed in the library.
  • Drinks are okay - but you eat in the Oasis outside the library. There are microwave ovens and dining areas.

Library zones

The library offers several types of working environments, so you can choose the one that suits you best:

  • Silent zone - for those who want to study undisturbed, in peace and quiet (lower level).
  • Quiet zone - for quiet conversation and individual work (lower level).
  • Collaboration Zone - for group work and collaboration (upper level).

The group rooms

The group rooms are for collaboration and group work. In order for more people to be able to use them in a good way, keep in mind that:

  • Allow more people to access the rooms – If you leave a room longer than 15 minutes, others have the right to take over and use it.
  • Take care of your belongings – You are responsible for your belongings.
  • Leave the room in good condition – Tidy up after yourself so that the next group gets off to a good start.

If you see something that disturbs the study environment – feel free to talk to the staff. Thank you for showing consideration and contributing to make the library a good place for everyone.
