DSIP – Digital Sustainability Implementation Package

Our vision is that industry's ability to develop sustainable solutions becomes a competitive advantage and that DSIP supports decision-making through a digital package of tools and methods.

Aim of the project

The aim of the project is to enable industry to include a strategic sustainability perspective in the early phases of the product innovation process.

DSIP compiles new support tools and digital functions that create the conditions for a transition to more sustainable solutions, which means improved resource efficiency and the use of more sustainable technologies.

Implementation

A conceptual solution for an implementation package (HIP) has been created, with methodology and interlinked methods and tools to systematically integrate and implement
sustainability in product developing companies and thereby contribute to SDGs 9 and 12.

The proposed HIP solution is based on a digital platform that will support data management and include: models for value- and sustainability-creating requirements management and product portfolio; support tools and methods for identifying, analyzing and managing sustainability-related risks; and visualization models for the product's sustainability performance throughout its life cycle.
