ELLIIT
ELLIIT is a strategic research environment funded by the government in 2010 and expanded in 2020 to support strong research in information technology and mobile communications. ELLIIT has four partners (Linköping University, Lund University, Halmstad University and BTH) collaborating with each other and various industrial partners in a variety of sub-projects. ELLIIT is coordinated by Linköping University.
Purpose of ELLIIT
ELLIIT provides a platform for both basic and applied research, and for cross-fertilization between disciplines and between academic researchers and industrial experts. ELLIIT is distinguished by the quality and visibility of its publications, and its ability to attract and retain talented researchers, and aims to be recognized as an international research organization of excellence.
Implementation
ELLIIT achieves its objectives through a judicious choice of funded focus projects, a structured process for international recruitment, a balanced approach to stimulating collaboration between research areas and between the HEIs involved (LiU, LU, BTH, HH), and a proactive approach to promoting and maintaining collaboration with Swedish industry. The overall goal of ELLIIT is to support scientific excellence combined with industrial relevance and impact.
At BTH, sub-projects within ELLIIT take place in software engineering, computer science, systems engineering and applied health technology.
