Security Engineering and Verification and Validation for Embodied AI

The project is part of Region Blekinge and BTH's marine technology initiative.

Software-intensive products and services (SIPS) are at the heart of everything from submarines and autonomous vehicles to large-scale information systems and distributed solutions in planning, logistics, manufacturing and maintenance.

Software has gone from being an add-on component to becoming the driving force, especially in defense and maritime applications where mission-critical systems depend on robust software solutions.

The project addresses the technical opportunities and challenges associated with the development of SIPS, with a focus on threat modeling, security, and verification/validation of AI/ML components in real-time to ensure performance and safety.

Expected outcomes include the development of tools, methods, models and frameworks to enable these objectives and support the full technical lifecycle of SIPS.
