TRANS-SAFE – Transforming Road Safety in Africa
The number of deaths due to road traffic injuries is high in Africa. There is an urgent need to implement safety solutions. The EU-funded TRANS-SAFE project aims to maximize the impact of these solutions by bringing together road safety authorities and experts from Europe and Africa to drive policy action. Together, they will drive forward effective approaches to developing road safety.
Purpose of the report

Together, they will drive forward effective approaches to developing road safety.
Implementation of the project
The project will ensure that road conditions meet the recommendations of the Road Safety Cluster of the African and EU Transport Working Group (2020). The consortium members are highly experienced and knowledgeable in Africa-related research. Overall, the project will contribute to the implementation of the Joint EU-Africa Strategy and support the countries' progress towards the 2030 Agenda for Sustainable Development.
