  • Late admittance rules do not apply.
  • You must show valid identification.

In certain exceptional cases you may take your examination at another location, after approval from the Examination Office and the relevant Head of Department.

Where can I write the exam?

Examinations at another location can only be carried out at:

  • A study centre affiliated with the NITUS network.
  • A university or a higher education institution.
  • A foreign university with which BTH has an exchange agreement.
  • Swedish authorities abroad.

How to apply

  1. Contact the authority or study centre at the location you wish to sit the examination at in good time, to obtain their approval.
  2. Apply within the registration period.
  3. You are responsible for covering any costs incurred in connection with taking the examination at another location.

Rules to follow

  • The exam may begin at most one hour earlier or later than scheduled at BTH.
  • If the exam begins earlier at the other location, you are not allowed to leave the room until at least one hour after the official start time at BTH.

If you are registered on a course that has been discontinued, you need to contact the course examiner in order to take the exam.

How to proceed:

  1. Contact the course manager/examiner and request approval to take the exam for the current course.
  2. The course manager/examiner is responsible for informing the examination office of the decision.

If you are unsure who that is, you can contact the department for assistance.

Examination administrators

The Examinations Office at BTH administers the hall exams, and in some cases, exams at other locations. To contact the Examination Office, you can send an e-mail to tentamen@bth.se.

Home exams are administered by teachers.
