Storage and Printing
As a student at Blekinge Institute of Technology (BTH), you have access to secure and efficient solutions for both storing your documents and printing. You can store your files on OneDrive or your personal home directory, and for printing, multifunction printers are available on campus. These services are designed to support you throughout your studies.
Storing documents and files
It is important that you store your documents and files in a safe place. BTH recommends that you primarily use BTH's OneDrive for storage, but you also have a personal home directory.

OneDrive
Through BTH you get access to Office365 and OneDrive via https://portal.office.com. If you use this service, the storage is linked to your student account and is no longer available when your account is closed.
If you use the computers in one of our public computer rooms, you are automatically logged in to OneDrive where you are recommended to save your documents, save under OneDrive-BTH Student.
Remember to check that your files have been synced before you log out. When the sync is complete, a green check mark appears next to the document.
The storage space is 1 TB.
J: - Your personal home directory
All students at BTH also receive a personal home directory (J:) that can be used, for example, for laboratory work in computer rooms. The home directory is backed up every day, and you can access it via BTH's student computers. If you accidentally lose or delete your files, the IT Helpdesk can help you get them back.
Your personal home directory can be accessed via the student computers (unit J:).
The storage space is 300 Mb. If you have problems saving documents on J:, you should check your storage space.
How do I check my storage space?
Open Explorer and you will see J: under Network locations. There you will see how much storage space you have used.

Printing and copying
BTH has a number of multifunction printers that can be used for printing, copying and scanning.
All prints are sent to a common queue called BTHprint and are retrieved on any printer using the BTH card or by logging in with your account.
You will need
- A student account or a BTH card to identify yourself at the printer
- A personal Dibs account to pay for your prints
Cost per page
Applies to printing and copying.
- Black and white A4: 0.85
- Double-sided black and white A4: 0.77 (per page)
- Color A4: 1.70
- Double-sided color A4: 1.54 (per page)
- Black and white A3: 1.70
- Color A3: 3.40
- Plotter A1: 15,00
- Plotter A0: 30,00
If the printer thinks you don't have enough money, it will delete the printout without telling you. We recommend that you divide larger print jobs into several smaller jobs. For example, if the document is 200 pages long, it works better if you print 50 pages at a time.
Scanning to email is free of charge.
Payment
You pay for printing and copying with the DIBS/NETS system.
Go to https://print.bth.se, log in and select "Top up balance".
The first time you pay for printing, you create a profile that you then reuse. Most debit/credit cards are accepted.
It is important to know that you cannot get back the money you buy prints/copies for in the portal, so do not load your print account with more than you think you need. The minimum amount is SEK 5.
Where are the printers located?
Multifunction printers are located in the corridors outside the computer labs. In common areas, you will find printers in these locations:
Karlskrona
- Library upper floor outside Lövsalen
- Library lower level, H226
- Building H, 4th floor corridor
- House C floor 4, C442
Karlshamn
- P3314 outside the elevator
Quick print
- Upload your printouts in a browser via https://print.bth.se
- Go to the printer and hold your BTH card up to the card reader to get your printout. The first time you do this, you will need to enter your username (abcd12) and password to link your BTH card to the printer system.
- The default settings for quick printing are black and white and two-sided (duplex).
- Your printout is in the queue for 72 hours, if you have not picked it up within that time, the printout will disappear from the queue.
- Requires that you are connected to BTH's network.
Printing from a mobile phone

Please note that if you do not have enough balance on your print account when printing to a plotter, the printout will be deleted without any notification.
Scanning
When scanning to email, it is important to keep in mind that almost all email accounts have a limit on the size of attachments. BTH's student email allows 15 MB attachments (Gmail and Yahoo allow attachments up to 25 MB and Hotmail, Live, Telia and others only allow 10 MB).
As an example, 12-14 pages in full color pdf will be about 10 MB.
