Do you want to get involved alongside your studies? At BTH there are several ways to contribute, develop and make new contacts.
As a student at BTH, you can take an active role in shaping your study experience and student life. Support new students as a prepp leader, influence your education and student rights through the Blekinge Student Union, or bring your ideas to life through StudentRegion Blekinge by organising events and building connections with local companies.
Blekinge Student Union
Blekinge Student Union represents all students at BTH and works to ensure that your time here is both meaningful and enjoyable.
The union advocates for your rights and interests in matters concerning education, student welfare and campus life. It provides a platform for student engagement, supports student associations, and helps create a vibrant and inclusive student community.
By getting involved in the student union, you can make your voice heard, influence your education, and be part of improving student life at BTH.
Do you want to become a prepp leader?
At BTH, we want all new students to have a good start - to get into their studies, find their place, meet new friends and feel at home.
Preppen is part of our introduction for new students, and we are now looking for you who want to work as a prepp leader during study period 1. The assignment involves a few hours of work per week where you help new students find their way around BTH.
What does a prepp leader do?
As a prepp leader, you are a support for new students. You answer questions and give tips on studies, social activities, exercise, housing and other things that may be important at the beginning of the study period.
This is an hourly paid position; compensation will be based on the actual hours worked.
Who can apply?
To become a prepp leader you need to:
- have completed at least one year of studies
- have passed your examinations
It is an advantage if you:
- are outgoing
- are actively involved in different activities during your free time
- find it easy to make new friends
We offer a shorter training so that you feel prepared for the assignment. After your expression of interest, you will be invited to a short interview.

Karlskrona Studentliv
Karlskrona Studentliv works to create an attractive study environment at BTH and to give you a positive experience of Blekinge.
Students, student groups and BTH staff can apply for funding to organise events and activities – either in collaboration with companies in Blekinge or as part of the student social life.
