Where can I go?
As a student at BTH, you have the opportunity to study abroad through our exchange agreements with universities around the world. Here you can see which countries and universities you can choose from and find an exchange that suits you.
Exchange agreements
BTH has a large number of exchange agreements with various higher education institutions in other countries. The agreements are usually subject-related and the number of student exchanges is also regulated. This means that you cannot choose freely among all the universities with which BTH has agreements, but that you must check that the agreements apply to your particular subject area.

Exchange programs
Exchange studies are often linked to various exchange programs and in many cases you as a student can apply for a scholarship that is linked to your particular education program.
- In the Nordic countries there are Nordtek and Nordplus
- In Europe, there are Erasmus+, Erasmus+ Traineeships and Erasmus+ Blended Intensive Programs (BIP)
- Outside Europe, there are Bilateral Agreements
If you choose not to go through BTH's exchange program, you can go as a Free mover.
Minor Field Studies - field studies abroad
Do you want to give your thesis a global perspective and really make a difference? Minor Field Studies (MFS) is a scholarship program funded by Sida. MFS gives students the chance to collect data by conducting field studies in another country where Sweden conducts development cooperation. Read more about MFS.
