Welcome to a new academic year
A new academic year is about to begin. Whether you are new to BTH or continuing your studies, here are a few things to know before the autumn semester gets under way. Read about Introduction day, meeting other students on Goin', practical matters on campus and using generative AI in your studies.
Introduction day for new students
If you are a new international student, you are welcome to take part in Introduction day on Friday 28 August in Multisalen.
In addition to Introduction day, some programmes have their own introduction activities. Check with your programme manager to find out what applies to you.

Join Goin'
In the Goin' app, you will find BTH's student community.
Here you can ask questions about anything from course books to student life and connect with other BTH students.
Campus opening hours
With a BTH card, you have access to campus buildings every day between 06:00 and 23:00. You are not permitted to remain in the buildings outside these hours.
During the daytime, campus is also accessible without a BTH card.
Parking on campus
If you plan to park on campus, you need a valid parking permit. You can collect your permit from the reception.
Continuing your studies at BTH?
Welcome back. Before the autumn semester begins, remember to:
- register for your autumn courses in Ladok for students
- re-register if you have courses remaining from a previous semester
- make sure you have a valid parking permit and collect one from the reception if needed.
Using generative AI in your studies
BTH encourages you to explore generative AI with curiosity and critical thinking. Use it to support your learning – not to replace your own work.
- You are responsible for everything you create, edit and share.
- Always review AI-generated content critically before using it.
- Follow the rules for your course and explain how you have used generative AI in your work.
