OREEL – ORE Enrichment enabled by E-Logistics
About
Proposal for the system demonstration project OREEL was preceded by a preparatory project which analyzed the production and logistics system in the Boliden area. The consortium has decided that there are sufficient conditions for implementing a system demonstration project within FFI Accelerera. The demonstrations are proposed to take place in three identified subsystems: mine, fixed facilities and road transport. The mine also includes post-processing. Fixed facilities include enrichment plants and smelters.
The project is proposed to be coordinated through a work package with extensive responsibility for dissemination of project results. In a second work package, the system package. Preparation and evaluation of demonstration is done in a fourth work package.
The system demonstrations are performed in respective work packages divided based on the three subsystems. The consortium has been expanded to 15 parties and consists of two mining companies, subcontractors, vehicle and component suppliers, research actors and academia as well as an energy company.
