Researcher joins European Comission's AI Act Scientific Panel

Prof. Veselka Boeva joins the European Comission's AI Act Scientific Panel

We are proud to announce that one of our researchers has been selected to join the AI Act Scientific Panel, established by the European Commission to support the implementation of the EU’s new AI Regulation.

The panel consists of 60 internationally recognised, independent experts in artificial intelligence. Their role is to advise the AI Office and national authorities on key aspects of the regulation, including identifying systemic risks, assessing general‑purpose AI models, and contributing to the development of methodologies and monitoring practices.

Panel members serve in a personal capacity for a 24‑month term, bringing together a broad range of expertise—from risk assessment and cybersecurity to technical mitigation and computational resource measurement.
