Knowledge seminar on research and innovation at Blekinge Health Arena

bha seminar may 2012BTH and Blekinge Health Arena on May 31 held a knowledge seminar in the test lab at Arena Rosenholm. The focus was on innovation, entrepreneurship and business connected to Blekinge Health Arena focus.

The seminar setup contained academic research lectures tightly coupled with business aspects in order to tell the story of how collaboration in research and business could lead to innovation and products within the fields of health technology.

Also, a small display fair was organized where projects and companies could display their approaches and outcomes.

Tobias Larsson of BTH and Kristian Haller (previous BTH PhD researcher and now running a research based startup) of Acoustic Agree took part to talk about doing a startup based on research.

  • Innovation and entrepreneurship (Anders Nilsson, BTH and Thomas Öhrn, Treatlite)
  • Mobile logging of EKG (Anders Björlin, Kiwok Development AB and Johan Berglund, BTH)
  • MyPT (Per-Ola Carlsson, WIP and Miro Zalar, Blekinge Heath Arena)
  • Running business based on academic research (Tobias Larsson, BTH and Kristian Haller, Acoustic Agree)
  • User driven service design – capture the ideas at the source, development of mobile services to ease everyday activities of disabled, in collaboration with Invacare and others (Sara Eriksén, BTH)
  • Development of sports training in practice (Fredrik Perltoft, Eleiko Sport AB, Olympic Games supplier)
  • Peter Matsson, elitidrottschef, Riksidrottsförbundet
