Digitalization is part of everyone's lives, and during the last decade, we have seen technologies such as extended reality (XR) develop. Example of XR-technology include augmented reality (AR) and virtual reality (VR). This trend will have an enormous impact on future digital societies, and the vision of digital/physical and immersive, ubiquitous, and virtual spaces opens new opportunities for creating a digital world in which the users and our senses are in the center. This course introduces new XR technologies, as well as the interfaces and interaction techniques used for them. The course also provides an insight into developing application areas within e.g. industry, entertainment, health technology, education and digital heritage.
