Admission requirements

Admission th the course requires 6 completed credits in XR technology or equivalent, 6 completed credits in game engine development or equivalent, 6 completed credits in AI for games and interactive systems or equivalent and 6 completed credits in 3D programming. English 6 or English level 2.

The purpose of the course is to develop students’ ability to collaborate and their understanding of what constitutes high quality in the development of games and interactive systems. The course aims for students to work in groups to design, implement, and document a project idea. Furthermore, the course aims to provide students with knowledge and experience in planning, executing, completing, and evaluating projects while considering usability, accessibility, and ethical aspects related to immersive technologies. The course also aims for students to acquire both theoretical and practical knowledge of version control and build systems in software projects. In addition, the course aims to develop students’ ability to identify, design, implement, and evaluate performance in real-time applications. The project work must have a clear connection to a relevant industrial or societal application, for example in healthcare, tourism, serious games, or game development.
