Admission to the course requires 6 completed credits in human-computer interaction or equivalent and 6 completed credits in XR technology or equivalent. English 6 or English level 2.
The purpose of the course is to give students the opportunity to acquire knowledge of how different modalities affect the user’s sensory experience, mobility, navigation and interaction, and how these can be used as a basis for designing advanced human–machine interfaces. The course aims to develop an understanding of how technologies such as haptics, gestures, eye tracking and brain-computer interfaces can be integrated into XR environments to enable richer and more intuitive interactions. Furthermore, the aim is to strengthen students’ ability to analyse and apply multimodal interaction principles, as well as to design and evaluate multi-user applications. The course also aims to introduce current research in the development of intelligent systems for human–agent interaction.
