Library resources for students in Industrial Economics and Management

Articles in databases

If you want to do more advanced searches for scientific articles, you can use the reference databases Scopus (focus on social sciences) or Web of Science (focus on natural sciences). As industrial economics is an interdisciplinary field, it is often necessary to use databases with both specific economic/social science content (such as Business Source Complete) and databases with technical content, and to complement these searches in the aforementioned major reference databases.

Conference papers

Proceedings or conference papers can be found in a variety of reference databases such as the engineering database Web of Science and Scopus. But keep in mind that many conference papers are never indexed by the major reference databases, yet are often available in full text on the internet via resources such as:

Business information

You can search for theses in BASE, a search engine for academic web resources, while Australian theses can be found in Trove. Theses from the Nordic countries can be found in Libris and from all over the world in WorldCat. You can also find references to books and reports, etc.

Library books

Use the delimitation for BTH's library catalog in Summon to search for the library's books and e-books. You will also find books and e-books available at BTH in the search engine Libris. You can also search for e-books directly in the respective e-book database, for example O'Reilly, Ebook central or Morgan and Claypool.

Search engines for scientific literature on the internet

Google Scholar, Microsoft Academic, and others are search engines that specialize in finding articles, abstracts, theses, books, and other scientific documents online. Use the library's links to access resources that BTH subscribes to. Click on GetIt@BTH to get the document.
