Kickstart 2

The project will contribute to strengthening Blekinge's research and innovation capacity in all three specialization areas. This is done by focusing on the interfaces between the actors in Blekinge's innovation ecosystem (academia, clusters and science parks) and the business community (SMEs). The aim of the project is to develop a number of concrete offers and services that support SMEs in forward-looking and sustainability-oriented innovation and transition processes.

Purpose of the project

The project aims to develop and consolidate three of the areas of action that the partnership for the implementation of Blekinge's strategy for smart specialization identified as central to further develop each area of specialization and address the bottlenecks for innovation that constitute barriers in Blekinge. The three areas of action highlighted in this project are: Demo region and test beds; Green transition of Blekinge's industry, and; Missions (which is an integral and horizontal part of the other two areas of action).

Implementation

By investing in test capacities, new innovation methods and partnerships and through green transition, the project will eventually contribute to a more competitive Blekinge and increased growth through innovations, entrepreneurship and employment.
