Transportation of Pupae - a Development Opportunity

There are many queen growers but very few of them are able to operate on a national market. The innovation provides opportunities for queen farms to expand and become more rational. It may also open up opportunities to reach the international market with Swedish pupae.

Objective

If the transportation problem could be solved, the queen farmer could expand his business, the professional beekeeper could concentrate on beekeeping and expand his business with more bee colonies.

Implementation

On a national basis, there is no transportation solution that satisfies the needs. Internationally, no transportation solution has come to our attention either. It is probably possible to develop a box the size of a shoebox with a built-in heat source capable of heating the box for at least one to two days.
