AIKnowIT - Hub for AI and IT Knowledge and cooperation between universities and SMEs

The project aims to build a platform for cooperation between universities and SMEs to enable exchange of knowledge and strengthen the connectivity by empowering digital innovation by application of artificial intelligence and cybersecurity solutions in various fields of industry and business.

The project will produce a toolbox for knowledge sharing between academia and business. The toolbox includes: a Research Collaboration Platform where academics and businesses can connect, collaborate on research projects, and share knowledge and resources; an Online Knowledge Sharing Platform (forums/communities) for interaction between industry experts and academic researchers; also possibly mentorship programs; helping SMEs to identify AI-based technologies useful for them; share methodology during communication actions and on platforms.

The project partners, four universities, will engage SMEs through workshops, share insights, etc. They will develop the toolbox (platforms, online tools, forums), select use cases from logistics, maritime etc. , demonstrate benefits of AI in those sectors, and ensure durability and long‐term success of results beyond closure of project; disseminate methodology via periodic communication and via the toolbox’s platforms.
