Johanna Börrefors

Johanna Börrefors earned her PhD in Sociology of Law at Lund University in 2007, with the dissertation An Essay on Aesthetic Compliance (monograph). Since 2008, in addition to her work at Lund University, she has served as a Senior Lecturer at Malmö University, Linnaeus University (including the police education program), and Örebro University.
Her teaching has primarily focused on qualitative methods, sociology, criminology, police work, leadership and organization, and philosophy of science. This work has also included extensive supervision and examination of numerous bachelor’s, master’s, and magister theses. In addition, she has substantial experience in the development, implementation, and evaluation of programs, courses, and course modules.
As of spring 2025, her research focuses on entrepreneurial metacognition, giftedness, and innovation.
