Welcome letter MBA programme – Autumn-22 part-time 50% distance
Congratulations on your admission!
Welcome to the MBA programme at Blekinge Institute of Technology!
The programme runs part-time from 29 August 2022 to 2 June 2024. Part-time means that you are expected to, on average, spend 20 hours per calendar week on your studies.
Please note, to keep your place on the programme, you must fulfil the steps in the section below: “Procedure to join the programme”. The mandatory course registration will open 29 July and close 8 August.
The e-mail Roll Call is held 29 August and means that you must e-mail the programme manager Henrik Sällberg (email@example.com) no later than 22:00 CET. State in the e-mail your full name and that you are ready to start your MBA-studies. If you are unable to send this e-mail 29 August for some reason (work travel for instance), send the e-mail 26 August before 22:00 hours CET instead.
An introduction meeting will be held 31 August at 15.00 CET to inform students on the conduction of the programme. The online conference tool “Zoom” will be used with this meeting link.

Procedure to join the programme
To keep your place on the programme, you need to fulfil steps 1-4 below.
If you do not wish to keep your place on the programme, please decline the offer on Universityadmissions.se or e-mail firstname.lastname@example.org. This will inform us of your intent not to attend the programme and we can offer your place to someone on the waiting list.
If you are unable to join the programme this year, you can apply for deferment of studies to start the next time it is given.
1. Tuition fee
Non-EU/EEA students are required to pay tuition fee for the studies. Visit our tuition fee page for terms and conditions for fee–paying students.
2. Activate student account
You can activate your student account when you receive an e-mail from BTH regarding student account. More information and link to activation is available in the Student Portal. If you have not received an e-mail regarding student account one week before the registration period closes, please contact the IT Helpdesk.
3. Register for the courses
You must register for the courses to keep your place on the programme. Register in Ladok for students, instructions are in the Student portal. You can find the registration periods here. If you cannot carry out the registration yourself, contact email@example.com.
4. Mandatory programme roll call and programme information
Participating in the roll call is mandatory. If you do not participate in the roll call, or report planned absence to the programme manager, your admission will be terminated.
Equipment and digital tools
The online learning management system Canvas is used by all programs and courses. You can access a Canvas course page when you have your student account and registered to the course. In Canvas you can find course information and, for example, lecture notes, assignments, discussion forums, and more.
As a student at BTH, you have access to the e-meeting service Zoom. Using Zoom, you can meet and collaborate with your teachers and classmates. You can find more detailed information about Canvas and installation instructions for Zoom here.
BTH require all students to use their own computer in the studies. If your programme has specific requirements for hardware or software you can find them here. If your education is online, you also need access to web or built-in camera, headset with microphone, and internet connection.

Courses during the initial semester:

The first semester you take two courses which run serially (one at a time). All course activities in the programme take place online. Make sure to visit the programme and course Canvas pages Canvas log-in for updated information on schedule and course content, teaching material, assignments, and discussion forums (available three weeks before course start). When you log in, you will find a link to each course on the MBA-programme. On each course site, carefully study the course guide to get a clear idea of teaching and learning activities. We have chosen to restrict scheduled activities in the programme to a minimum, written examinations are one of the exceptions. This makes your studies as flexible as possible, following that many of you are employed.
Once enrolled in the programme we will e-mail you the programme guide for the MBA-programme! This document represents an important source of information for you. It informs on conduction of the programme, administrative issues and what BTH expect from you as students and what you can expect from us.
