In January, BTH was welcomed as one of the new members of the European University Association (EUA) alongside six other universities. The EUA represents over 850 universities and works with EU policies on higher education and research in Europe.

As a member, BTH will be able to participate in activities and mutual-learning events alongside other university members from all over Europe, as well as take part in shaping European policies.

“Being part of the EUA is a step in the right direction and it will be beneficial for BTH’s upcoming application to the European University Initiative, EUI. Our membership will also make our  Master’s programmes more attractive for future international fee-paying students”, says International director Mats Walter.

The EUI is an initiative created to strengthen the partnership between universities across Europe, with a focus on higher education, research, and innovation.

The goal is to allow students to receive a degree by completing their studies in different EU countries, increase the international competence of universities around Europe, and promote equity, gender equality, and inclusiveness.
