International delegates to visit BTH to attend kickoff of Bauhaus4EU Regional Council
Blekinge Institute of Technology is proud to announce a significant milestone in its efforts toward internationalisation and regional innovation through its active role in the Bauhaus4EU Alliance.
This forward-looking initiative unites ten universities from nine European countries, along with over 67 associated partners worldwide. The alliance has been awarded €14.4 million by the European Commission to enhance transnational collaboration in higher education and promote sustainable regional development. It aligns closely with the goals of the New European Bauhaus.
As a core member of the alliance, BTH is establishing a Regional Council in Sweden to serve as a strategic and advisory forum. The Council will bring together leading regional stakeholders and representatives from academia to provide expertise, insights, and guidance.
The ceremonial launch of the Regional Council will took place on the morning of 15 May 2025 at BTH’s campus in Karlskrona. The event will be attended by international delegates, associated partners, the alliance’s project management team and leadership, as well as heads of departments from BTH.
In the afternoon of 15 May, BTH will also host a project management meeting for the alliance. The two-day event will conclude with the BTH Academic Ceremony on 16 May, during which international delegates will participate as honored guests of the Vice-Chancellor.
This occasion marks a major step forward in BTH’s strategic vision to foster stronger collaboration across borders and sectors—co-creating knowledge, driving innovation, and developing sustainable solutions in partnership with stakeholders at the local, national, and international levels.
