Markus Hjelm, doktor i medicinsk vetenskap, disputerade vid Lunds universitet i ämnet vårdvetenskap med inriktning omvårdnad.

Avhandlingens titel är: Case management for older persons with multi-morbidity. Experiences of an intervention from the perspectives of older persons, family members, case managers and health and social care staff members.

Idag arbetar Markus som universitetslektor på Sjuksköterskeprogrammet på både grund- och avancerad nivå. Här undervisar han inom ämnen såsom organisation och ledarskap, vetenskapsmetodik samt interkulturell kompetens. Forskningsintresset finns inom eHälsa, implementeringsforskning samt hur vi kan arbeta mot att utveckla en god vård och omsorg till äldre personer med multisjuklighet och deras närstående.
